Mr. Prossnitz will be part of a panel of experts at the annual meeting of PIABA (Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association) at the Mariott Sawgrass Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida in October 2010. Mr. Prossnitz and other experts will be speaking on Ethical Issues in Multi-Claimant Cases, and discussing the ethical implications that are associated with the representation of multi-claimants in a single arbitration proceeding including various considerations that are applicable to the discovery and hearing phases.
Mr. Prossnitz was a featured speaker at the annual meeting of PIABA at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, CO in October 2008. Mr. Prossnitz spoke about the issue of selling-away investment scams. Mr. Prossnitz has extensive experience representing victims of selling-away scams, and is currently representing multiple claimants in a selling-away case against Sterling Trust Company.
He has written for the Litigation journal of the ABA. Mr. Prossnitz taught at Chicago Kent Law School as an adjunct professor on class actions. He has been a member of the Chicago Literary Club since 1988 and has presented six papers. He served the Club as Treasurer, a Board member and is currently on the Publications committee.
